VENUE ACCESS

CAR PARKING
The Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre offers ample undercover car parking and is conveniently located close to public transport.

CHILD MINDING
Please note that no official arrangements have been made for child care during the meeting. Please check with your hotel as they should be able to assist you with child minding services.

CREDIT CARDS
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, shops, restaurants and airlines. The following cards will be accepted for the meeting: Visa and MasterCard.

DRESS CODE
The Conference dress is business attire for sessions and Monday night Welcome Reception. The Conference Dinner is formal attire.

NAME BADGES
Your official meeting name badge must be worn at all times, as it is your entry to all sessions and functions. Security staff will be asked to refuse entry to anyone not wearing their name badge.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Every effort has been made to ensure people with special requirements are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance, catering or arrangements to be made on your behalf, please include details on your registration form under the section ‘Special Requirements’ to enable us to make your stay in Melbourne a pleasant and comfortable experience.

SMOKING POLICY
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre has a nonsmoking policy throughout the entire venue.

SHOPPING
Generally Melbourne’s shops are open during the following hours:
Monday to Thursday 9.00am-5.00pm
Friday 9.00am-9.00pm
Saturday 8.30am-4.00pm
Shops in tourist areas may be open on Sundays.

WEATHER
Melbourne has a pleasant climate in November. A full range of weather may be experienced within a few days, from warm, calm and sunny to cold, windy and showery. Temperatures generally range between 12-22 degrees Celsius in November. For more information see www.bom.gov.au

PRIVACY STATEMENT
Information provided within the registration form will be used to administer the GMCC-09 conference including accommodation, catering,transport and sponsorship.
